Using this website
The information on this site is here to help you work out whether we are the right firm for your job. We keep it accurate and up to date as best we can, but it is general information, not advice about your particular property, and prices shown are guides rather than offers.
Nothing on this site is a quotation. A price is only a price once we have seen the job and put it in writing.
Quotes and prices
We come out, look at the job and give you a fixed price in writing. That price holds for 30 days.
Prices shown on the website as “from” are the starting point for a straightforward job. What yours costs depends on the property, the make you choose and what we find once we are in.
If something comes to light once work has started that nobody could reasonably have seen beforehand, we stop, tell you what it is and what it will cost, and we do not carry on until you have said yes.
Payment
Unless we have agreed something different in writing, payment is due within 14 days of the invoice. Larger jobs may be staged, and the stages are set out on the quote.
Your guarantee
Our workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from completion. Parts and appliances carry the manufacturer’s own guarantee, which is usually longer, and we will register it for you where the manufacturer requires it.
The guarantee does not cover damage caused by somebody else working on what we installed, by misuse, or by a lack of the servicing the manufacturer requires.
Cancelling
If you are a consumer and you agreed the work away from our premises, which for most of our jobs means at your home, you have 14 days to cancel without giving a reason. If you asked us to start inside those 14 days and then cancel, we can charge you for what has already been done.

Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
