Rewires

Full and partial rewires for houses, flats and rented property. We’ll be straight about what actually needs doing, and our own plasterers and joiners make good afterwards.

Fixed price in writing

New consumer unit with a full row of RCBOs and neatly loomed cabling

Consumer unit upgrades

Old fuse boards swapped for a modern consumer unit with RCD protection. If your board’s got rewireable fuses or no RCD, it’s worth doing, and your insurer will be happier for it.

Electrical questions we get asked

From £156 including VAT (£156 including VAT) for a typical three bedroom house. Bigger properties and commercial premises are priced on the number of circuits, and we’ll give you that figure before we book it in. You get the report the same week with anything urgent flagged and priced separately.

Five to ten working days for a typical three bedroom house, depending on how much of it we’re doing and whether you’re living there while we work. Because our own plasterers and joiners make good afterwards, you’re not left waiting on another trade at the end of it.

Often not. If your wiring is sound but the board is old, a consumer unit upgrade and a couple of circuits will do the job for a fraction of the cost. We’ll test it first and tell you what it genuinely needs. If that’s a rewire we’ll say so, and if it isn’t we’ll say that too.

Yes. We’ll check your incoming supply first, because not every house can take a charger without work to the main fuse, and it’s better to know that before you’ve bought one. Installation includes certification and notification.

No. Out of hours cover is for heating, boilers, plumbing and gas. Electrical jobs are dealt with the next working day. We’d rather tell you that up front than have you ring at midnight and find nobody’s coming.
