LPG servicing

LPG servicing and repairs for homes off the mains, which covers a good part of rural Northumberland. It’s the same annual service as a mains gas boiler, and if the property’s let, we’ll do the gas safety certificate on the same visit.

What a new boiler costs

Boilers start from £1,800, with fitting from £500 for a straightforward swap in a typical house. We fit any make – Baxi, Ideal, Worcester and Vaillant are the ones we put in most. The make of boiler and the length of guarantee both change what you pay. We’ll always price two options so you can see the difference side by side. Whatever we quote is fixed and in writing.

*What you actually pay depends on two things. The make of boiler you go for, and how long a guarantee you want on it. A five year guarantee costs less than a ten, and ten years is only available on some Baxi models. If the job needs the boiler moving, the fuel changing or old pipework upgrading, that’s extra and we’ll tell you before we start, not after.

Boiler repair

Same day where we can, within 24 hours as standard. We carry the common parts, so most repairs are done on the first visit.

Not sure if it’s worth fixing? We’ll come out, find the fault and tell you straight whether to repair it or replace it.

Out of hours, and what it covers

Ring the usual number out of hours and it comes through to whoever’s on call. Nights, weekends, Christmas Day.

How much does a new boiler cost?

Boilers start from £1,800, with fitting from £500 for a straightforward swap in a typical house. Two things move the price: the make of boiler, and how long a guarantee you want on it. Five years costs less than ten. If the job needs the boiler moving, the fuel changing or the pipework upgrading, that’s extra and we’ll tell you before we start. We price two options so you can see the difference, and whatever we quote is fixed and in writing.

A day and a half to two days for most jobs. If we’re moving the boiler to a different wall, changing fuel, or upgrading old pipework, allow a bit longer. We’ll tell you which it is when we come and look, not after we’ve started.

Any of them. Most of what we install is Baxi, Ideal, Worcester or Vaillant. If you’ve a preference we’ll fit it. If you haven’t, we’ll tell you which one suits your house and your budget and why.

Yes. Ring 01670 641284 and out of hours it comes through to whoever’s on call. That covers heating, boilers, plumbing and gas, for homes and commercial sites. Electrical and joinery jobs are dealt with the next working day.

They’re the same visit. A CP12, or landlord gas safety certificate, is the paperwork that comes out of a gas safety check on a rented property. If you’re a landlord, the annual service and the certificate happen together. £85 + VAT.

Twelve months warranty on parts and labour, where the fault is down to the installation or the materials we used. That sits on top of whatever manufacturer’s warranty comes with the boiler itself, which is five or ten years depending on the model.
